According to Hindu literature, There was the time when lower class  people were not generally allowed to celebrate festivals with upper-class people. Ram Navami is one of the ancient Hindu festivals where lower class people were allowed to celebrate.

Apart from incarnation of God, Lord Ram is regarded as the perfect son, the perfect brother, the perfect husband, and the perfect king. According to Hindu Mythology, the name of Rama itself considered as a divine Mantra A group of sacred words chanted in order to gain something, be it materialistic pleasures or peaceful mindto attain salvation. 
 
Mantra dedicated to worship ‘Rama’ is called the Thaaraka mantra. It is a combination of 'Namashivaya mantra' and the 'Om Namo Narayanaya Maha-mantra' thereby representing the union of ShivaShivaShiva
