Ganesh Chaturthi is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi and is started on September 5. The auspicious festival starts in mid-August or mid-September and arrives on the fourth day Bhadarva Shukla-Paksha according to the Hindu calendar. The festival is celebrated by Hindus across the world.

was born. Ganesh Chaturthi or Ganesh Utsav festival was first celebrated by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja, the great Maratha ruler.
 
Lalbaugcha Raja is Mumbai's most famous Ganpati Darshan The term means the vision of the divinethat several devotees every year gathered to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. 
Devotees worship Lalbaugcha Raja idol for eleven days and then those idols get immersed in water on the auspicious day of Anant Chaturdashi. 
 
There are several ways of paying tribute and Prasad It is the sacred food that is distributed after an auspicious event or day after offering it to the Godsin the form of coconut, jaggery and modak are offered to Lord Ganesha.
