Namaste, It's the first time that I am going to fast for Naag Panchami and that's why I am searching for the procedures of doing it. I would like to know instead of a clay idol can I just buy one snake idol from the market and do the puja? and what to do after the puja, should I keep the idol or should I put in at the sea or river just like we do for Ganpati? Waiting for your reply, thanks MayaReply
