Gogamedi is situated in the district of Hanumangarh and it is located approx 395 Kilometer far from the capital city Jaipur in Rajasthan. 
 
Gogamedi Fair is one of the popular fairs celebrated in India. It is an annually fair that is famous for the sell off livestock, handicraft, village crop and attractive handicrafts. It is held in Rajasthan. Visiting the fair is a great experience for the tourist as the fair reflect the rich culture and tradition of Rajasthan. 
 
The fair has a great religious significance as it is believed that a snake bite can be treated by chanting the name of the snake God.
 
Gogamedi Fair is all set to be celebrated on in the month of August, this year. 
 
The fair, Gogamedi is celebrated in honor to serpent God and the observance begins on Goga Navami. Most probably, the festival is held in the month of August – September each year. The festival celebrations are dedicated to Goga Ji Maharaj and observed with full dedication and devotion.
 
 

Gogamedi Fair Celebrations

 
It is believed that by caroling the name of Goga Ji Maharaj, anyone suffering from snakebite gets cured. Devotees across Rajasthan take part in the fair with great zeal and a particular, peculiar food items are offered to Goga Ji Maharaj. Delicacies prepared from honey, sugar and coconut are also offered to Goga Ji Maharaj. The traditional ambiance of Rajasthan comes alive to the core on Gogamedi fair as musicians from all over Rajasthan showcase distinct aspects of Rajasthani culture during the fair.
 
 

How to reach Gogamedi, Rajasthan

 
Gogamedi is accessible on NH 65 from Chandigarh; go straight to Hisar (Haryana) (230 km) and from Hisar take the road to Bhadra (60 km) and Gogamedi lies around 20 km from Bhadra on the way to Nohar. From Delhi take the NH10 to Hisar (165 km) and from Hisar take the road to Bhadra-Nohar.
