About Kolayat Fair 
The Kolayat Fair of Bikaner has a great significance in the life of the people of Bikaner. They anxiously wait for this fair throughout the year. Tourists also feel a great time as the Kolayat Fair is celebrated on an expansive scale. The fair is also called as ‘Kapil Muni Fair’. The Kolayat Mela is not for only attraction, it also has an important religious significance. Millions of devotees also visit the fair to take a holy bath in the Kolayat Lake. It is believed that a to take holy bath in the water to get rid of their sins. 
According to history, the place of Kolayat is also noted as Kapilayatan. Moreover, these names are found in the holy scriptures of Puranas.
Attractions of Kolayat Fair in Bikaner
Koliyat Fair is the largest fair in the Bikaner, and it is also called as Rajasthan Kapil Muni Fair and it is held on Kartik Poornima. During the Kolayat Fair, all the 52 Ghats are beautifully decorated with lighting lamps. Beautiful and attractive lighting lamps impact a great look to these Ganga ghats. It will be the beautiful sight for the visitors to see millions of lighting lamps floating in the water of the lake. On visiting the fair, you will also be able to see the various customs performed by the devotees. Devotees also offer prayer along with sweetmeats, milk pudding and sugar drops to the deity.
