Kushmanda is considered as the fourth form of Goddess Durga. It is compound word made of three words, Ku' means 'a little'; 'Usma' is warmth, heat or energy and 'Anda' means the cosmic egg or the universe. She has been depicted as the goddess from whose warmth the universe that has emanated. Mother Goddess created the whole universe in the shape of an egg called “Anda” wth her little & light divine smile, so she is named Kushmanda. KushmandaKushmanda
Kushmanda is a Hindu goddess and is regarded as one of the supreme forms of Devi... in Sanskrit stands for pumpkin, which she likes most as a sacrificial offer. This is another reason she is known as Kushmanda. She is also known as Adi Shakti.
She resides in solar systems. It is believed that she is the only one who controls the functioning of the solar system. She shines brightly in all the directions like Sun. When there was only a void full of darkness, at that time, when even time did not exist, the Goddess Kushmanda created the universe with her Sankalpa, as a mental projection. Before her advent, there was neither eternal (sat) nor non-eternal (Asat) things were there. Whatever brilliance is observed in the world, whether in living beings or objects is simply a reflection of her splendor.
She is also known as “Ashtabhuja” as she is often depicted as having eight arms. In her eight hands, she holds Kamandalu, Bow, Arrow, Lotus, a Jar of Nectar, Disc, Mace and Rosary. She rides a lion that represents “Dharma”.

Devotees offer Malpua It is a sweet pancake made up of bananas, coconut, flour, water and milk. It is very popular in Rajasthan, West Bengal, Odisha and Maharashtraas Bhog that pleases the Goddess and improves the intellect and decision-making the ability of the devotee.

Even, this miserable world transforms into a divine place for her devotees. Her worship is the best and easy way to cross the mire of the world. So an aspirant should worship her for his mundane as well as spiritual success.
