Balaji is a four-armed God who holds his weapon chakra in one hand which is a symbol of power and a conch in another representing existence. His other two hands are in blessing-giving gestures. To gain blessings, his devotees must surrender themselves to the deity. He is depicted as a dark complexion God and his idols are black in color. He is ornamented with various gold jewelry and his shrine is often decorated with flowers. A red mark of vermilion is also applied on his forehead. Padmavati was his consort and his mount is GarudaGaruda

The sage became furious and kicked on the chest of Vishnu which is the residing place of his wife, Lakshmi. Sage hit his feet in this act and Vishnu felt sorry for his pain. He started pressing the sage’s feet in order to provide some comfort. Sage Bhrigu’s foot is believed to have an eye on the base which represented his ego. When Vishnu pressed his feet, he accidentally smashed the eye. Soon Bhrigu’s ego got smashed too and he realized his mistake. He went back to the earth and told the sages to perform their ritual in the name of Vishnu.

Bhrigu was one of the seven great sages known as Saptarishis and was created... was at fault. She left her abode and went to earth. Vishnu also left Vaikuntha or Vishnu Loka and came on earth. He started living in an ant hill under a tamarind tree and meditated for the return of Lakshmi without food or sleep.
Shiva and Brahma decided to help Vishnu and took a form of cow and calf. They were sold to the King of Chola. The cow didn’t yield any milk in the palace as it gave all the milk to Vishnu to feed him. One day, the cow herder followed the cow and after seeing its conduct, decided to kill it with an axe. Vishnu took the blow of the axe and started bleeding. Cow herd died at the spot after seeing such a sight.
The cow returned back to its home and when the King of Chola saw the cow with blood stains all over, he followed her. After reaching the site, he saw Vishnu bleeding. Vishnu was angry and he cursed the King that in his next birth he will turn into a demon. When the king pleaded innocence, Vishnu sympathized and said that the curse will end when he will marry his daughter, named Padmavati to Vishnu.
In the next birth of the King, Vishnu was now known by the name of Srinivasa and was married to Padmavati. The king demanded a huge bridal price and Srinivasa took a large loan from KuberaKubera
