Shiva is one of the Supreme Gods of Hindu Trinity that ... were very good friends. Shiva had the title of Pasupati, which means “ruler of the beasts”. However, after Krathu insulted Shiva’s father for committing sinful acts, Shiva was heartbroken, and he relinquished his title of Pasupati to Krathu. After that, all the demigods distributed the beasts among themselves without giving any share to Shiva. This infuriated Shiva, and he told Krathu that he would kill all the demigods. Krathu told Shiva to calm down and wait, and promised him that he would restore his title to him again very soon. Around that time, there was an arrogant king named Dakhsa. He had a daughter named Sati, who was an incarnation of the supreme goddess Adi Parashakti. When DakshaDaksha
Brahma, the creator of the universe, created Daksha from his right thumb... thought of getting her married, he brought proposals of gods, princes and many other powerful beings for her but she rejected all of them. She was a great devotee of Shiva and wanted to marry him. She then went to a forest and performed intense penance to please the deity. After several years of her prayers, Shiva was pleased and agreed to make her his consort. SatiSati
The name Sati means true and justifying her name... then went back to his father’s place and invited him to her marriage with Shiva to which Daksha became very angry as she was going to marry someone he did not choose and like. He told her to go away and, in a way, cut off all the bonds with her. After some time, however, Shiva and Sati got married, and this infuriated Daksha a lot.
One day Daksha decided to perform a yajna. He invited gods, goddesses, kings and many other beings including Krathu to the yajna but did not invite Shiva and Sati. When Sati got to know about it, she tried to persuade Shiva to go to the yajna with her. But Shiva refused and told her not to go there as well. However, Sati was determined on going to the yajna to which Shiva agreed and told her that she could go, but he would not come with her. His troops escorted Sati to the yajna. On seeing her at the yajna, Daksha became very angry and started shouting at her. He insulted her and her husband Shiva, and kept on yelling for a long time. Sati tried to talk some sense into him, but it was of no use as he would not listen to anything she said. Upon this Sati became furious and assumed her true form of Adi Parashakti. There was lightening, thunder and chaos all around the world. The earth was not able to bear the rage of Sati and was on the verge of complete destruction. Sati cursed Daksha that he would be killed by her husband, Shiva. After some time, she sat down and immolated herself, giving away her life. When Shiva got to know about the series of aforementioned events, he was filled with rage, anger and grief. He went out of control and pulled out a lock of his hair and threw it down. From this Veerabhadra, a form of his rage and power, was born. Shiva ordered Veerabhadra Veerabhadra
The Veerabhadra temple is also known as Lepakshi temple. It is situated in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh...to go along with his followers and destroy everything. The army went to the place of yajna and attacked everyone who attended it. They beheaded Daksha, punched out teeth of PushanPushan

Shiva’s anger then mollified, and he told them that all of them should serve under him as animals. This was the only way for them to regain their original states. Everyone agreed to it, and they served under Shiva as animals, bringing back the title of Pasupati to him. Rudra then restored the teeth, eyes and testicles of everyone. He replaced the head of Daksha with that of a goat. After that, Krathu married Sannati, daughter of Daksha. With the blessings of Shiva, they brought up sixty thousand Valikhilyas, pygmy sages who were no bigger than the size of a thumb joint.
