There are four sacred Hindu religious books called Vedas.
There are four Vedas: Rig Veda, Atharva Veda, Yajur Veda, and Sam Veda.Rig Veda mention there are thirty-three Gods, out of which 11 are said to be on earth, 11 in heaven, and 11 in air.

Atharva Veda and Yajur Veda mention ‘trayastrimsati koti bhagwan’. Here trayastrimsati means thirty three and koti has two meanings and one is crore and other one is supreme. While translation it gives the fact that there are 33 crore Gods but actually there are 33 gods.
