Do snakes actually capture the image of their killer?

In India, there are many myths one of them is if someone kills a snake and leave it there then its partner will take revenge from the killer of the snake.  Snake’s partner will get to know about the killer from an image that has been captured in dead snake’s eyes. Therefore, it is advisable that if one killed the snake should burn it or bury it deep in the earth for your safety.

The reality is that don’t have eyelids, and thus its eyes remain open when it is dead & reflect anything that comes in its range. Dead snake’s eyes are small and thus impossible to identify who is there in that eye.

Snake is poisonous, when a snake is dead, its poison remains harmful for several hours. It is thus recommended that the killer of the snake should burn or bury a dead snake so its poison cannot affect any living being.
