Tandava is also of two types i.e., Rudra Tandava, which depicts his violent nature and Ananda Tandava, which depicts Shiva enjoying his dance. It is majorly performed in the states of South India, which has vigorous and brisk movements. According to scriptures, Shiva have performed Tandav many times but one of the most important incidence was when Sati jumped into the sacrificial fire and killed herself and Shiva performed Rudra Tandava to show his anger and grief.

that has magnificent and vast structure. The pyramidal shikhra of Grabha Griha is covered with gold plates. This temple has old tank, which is considered as sacred by the devotees. Goddess Kali temple and Sun temple are also situated in the campus. The temple has the structure similar like the Amarnath Cave temple in Jammu & Kashmir.
The temple is popular for the Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan held every year in the month of December.
