Girija Devi Mandir (Temple) is a very famous temple in Nainital District, Uttarakhand. This is one of the holy place and locally people called as Garjia Mandir. Girija Devi Temple is located in Garjiya at a distance of 12 Km from Ramnagar, Uttarakhand on Dhikala road. Girija Devi Mandir is a sacred Shakti shrine where Goddess Garjiya is the presiding deity. The temple is built on a big rock in the middle of Kosi river and millions of devotee are visited during the Kartik Poornima, a holy day celebrated on the 15th lunar day of Kartik month (November - December). It is also known as the festival of lights.
