Ubud, a town in Central Bali, is far removed from the beach party scene at Kuta and is regarded as the arts and crafts hub of the cultural centre of Bali in Indonesia. As much of the town and nearby villages, seems to consist of artist’s workshops and galleries. There are some remarkable architectural and other sights to be found, and a general feeling of well being to be enjoyed, all thanks to the spirit, surroundings, and climate of the place.
The mesmerizing Puri Saraswati Temple Bali is also popularly known as the Water Palace thronged with thousands of tourists and pilgrims for the architectural and scenic beauty. The breathtaking temple was the vision and creation of Gusti Nyoman Lempad in the 19th century, early 20th. The Water Palace is located across the street from Ubud’s Royal Palace and is behind the Café Lotus Pond on Jalan Raya Ubud.
The name derives itself from English origin where the word, Pura means temple, where the people worship for the Balinese Hindu and Saraswati Temple Ubud is one among them. The spectacular temple varies from the other temples in terms of attraction, as the temple has a beautiful water pond embedded with lovely lotus flowers encompassing the entire water body.
Ubud Water Palace has a statue of the goddess Saraswati, the goddess of learning, wisdom and rivers and the great Hindu goddess, whom the temple is dedicated. Upon entering the courtyard next to Cafe Lotus, tourist will soon see the road that cuts between two large water beds. In the water plump have large lotus. Kecak dance performance schedule at Taman Saraswati Temple Ubud held every Tuesday and Thursday. The performance starts at 19:30, with the ticket price is IDR 100.000 / person. Kecak dance at Saraswati Temple Ubud is performed by Sandhi Suara dance group.

- Petulu Return Home: It is an impressive sight to watch the herons landing in the trees getting ready for the night. The village of Petulu is located about 2.5 km north of Ubud.
- Gunung Kawi: These ancient monuments are the closest thing you come to Angkor Wat in Bali. Gunung Kawi is located 18 km north east of Ubud and consists of 10 impressive rock-carved shrines.
- Rice Terraces: Another option is just to go exploring the rice paddies surrounding Ubud on your own. That gives you the opportunity to soak in the beauty of the fields without the crowds.
